BACK TO SCHOOL 1950

Those were the days , the roads very bad , transport scarce : the only one was the Yan Transport bus , and that also was halfway only up to Jeniang . Then had to cross the river by a rakit made from bamboos tied together . The river was then deep , the current very strong and underneath inhibated by crocodiles . Yearly, there was somebody who became victim. On the next side of the river , there was another bus company better known as bus Pak salim , because Pak Salim was the driver. Daily there were only 2 trips . A miss means go and sleep in the shack provided mainly for night's stay; a sort of transit. For food there was a stall of Mat sampan .Only hot coffee and roti kapai to save your hunger and thirst. I didn't know why named as roti kapai .It was made from tapioca flour.Very hard and had to dip long in the hot coffee.
The no-star shack was also a popular place for poker.....a sort of Las Vegas. Thus brought a lot of cash to Mat sampan. I did longed for such a transit , so I could enjoy the night life by the riverside . What I needed most was to catch fish in the water. The opportunity did not come my way as there was always Pak Salim and his bus , and Pilus was always there on the other side to Pekan Sik.
Pak Salim terminal was Gurun ( a place at the foot of Gunung Jerai.....where rain was plenty ). A 'gurun' ( meaning desert) with most rain the whole world . Here we could have the best ice-ball ( ais kepai ) . Children today don't have the opportunity and pleasure sulking the ice-ball. It was not easy sulking this piece of ice-ball. Your hands get cold . It was cheap ,5 cents a ball.
Before reaching Gurun ,you had to pass a place known as Kebun Teh . Here the communists always made ambushes . Usually if they know any pro-British personnel are in the bus . Everybody would got scared . Testicles would get shrunk . Faces turned pale . Pak salim would repeat some prayers , usually verses from the Quran . His lips moving reciting the verses . Sometimes it came across my mind that one day I joined the communists , because it was interesting living in the jungles .
From this ' desert' town we had to take another bus to Sungai Petani . It was another strenous journey . Bus sardined-pack . If the day was a bad luck , you will be kept standing the whole route to Sungai Petani. The early morning journey from Sik would only be completed at when the sun nearly hid herself in the west.
The whole day journey made me so tired that I felt asleep just after the night's dinner . Of course had to report to the hostel prefect in-charge , if not a thousand lines penance ," I must not sleep.......". Always the excuse was headache .
What a life , full of adventures . Full of thrills ................children's world is not worth thinking. Allah gives the enjoyment only once , and no more.

ELDERLY WOES

SENIORS GIVING BIRTH

With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old woman was able to give birth to a baby. When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, her relatives came to visit.

"May we see the new baby?" one asked." Not yet," said the mother.
"I'll make coffee and we can visit for awhile first."

30 minutes had passed, and another relative asked ,"May we see the new baby now?"

"No, not yet," said the mother.

After another few minutes had elapsed, they Asked again, "May we see the baby now?"
"No, not yet," replied the mother.

Growing very impatient, they asked, "Well, when can we see the baby?"
" WHEN HE CRIES!" she told them.
"WHEN HE CRIES?" they demanded. "Why do we have to wait until he cries?"

"BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM. O.K.?????"

KUNTA-KINTE

In my previous post I had written of how I went through my childhood the 'kunta-kinte' ways and kinds. Not many of children today have the previledge to encounter the tragedies and the pleasanteries we had had . Not any . Even the orang asli community today . At least have one or two modern technologies in hand. They are taken care-of . Those days that sort of caring was never heard of . The rural were left to live by themselves . Only when after the second world war was there a new aspiration and inspiration grew among the people. We needed togetherness to pursue the independence .

Kunta-kinte was filmed . Kunta-kinte was written . The book was named ' The Roots '.

Kunta Kinte is the central figure in Alex Haley's 1976 book Roots. According to Haley's research, Kinte was 17 when he was captured and taken to America as a slave aboard the ship Lord Ligonier in 1767. Roots traces the lives of Kinte and his descendants down to Haley himself, Kinte's great great great great-grandson. The book became a popular TV miniseries in 1977, starring LeVar Burton as young Kinte and John Amos as the older Kinte.

Anybody has a copy of the film ? Please contact : matisaa_02@yahoo.com

As kunta-kinte was captured and taken to America , I too was captured by my former headteacher of Malay School Sik , Pak Nor . Still young, aged 10 , I was taken out of the rural Sik to an English school in Sungai Petani . I knew nothing , not even a word of english . Sometimes I cannot picture out how that could happen without the help from the Al-mighty . SUBHANALLAH

The story OF KUNTA-KINTE starts from Juffure, a small peaceful village in West Africa in 1750, and ends in Gambia, in the same village, after several generations. However, Haley did not claim that it is possible to return to some Paradise, but depicted realistically his ancestors' life and how the villagers suffered occasionally from shortage of food. "But Kunta and the others, being yet little children, paid less attention to the hunger pangs in their bellies than to playing in the mud, wrestling each other and sliding on their naked bottoms. Yet in their longing to see the sun again, they would wave up at the slate-colored sky and shout - as they had seen their parents do - 'Shine, sun, and I will kill you a goat!'"

The action begins with the birth of Kunta Kinte in 1750 to a Mandinka tribesman in the village of Juffure, The Gambia. The author liberally uses many African words to describe the everyday life of this Muslim community, which sees young boys like Kunta being groomed to manhood with lessons of hunting, protecting their families, and subscribing to codes of honor under the strict supervision of village elders.
Several years later, Kunta hears vague talk about "toubob" (white people) who have been spotted in the jungles nearby. Tribesmen are disappearing from other villages, never to be seen again. At the age of 17, while Kunta is on sentry duty and looking for wood with which to fashion a drum, he is ambushed by four slave catchers. Although he fights back, he is no match for them, and is chained and hauled off to a ship for the beginning of a horrifying sea voyage.
Chained to each other and to their beds in the dark, dank hold, the slaves lie in their own excrement and become violently ill. Once or twice a week, the whites bring them up to the deck in chains in order to clean the hold. On one such occasion, the slaves, who have managed to communicate with each other despite the many different languages they speak, conspire to overthrow the whites. The revolt is quashed by the white sailors, but an outbreak of vomiting, fever, and diarrhea wipes out one third of the Black captives and half of the whites. This attrition rate was typical for slave ships of the time.
At a slave auction, Kunta is bought for $850 by John Waller .

Luckily I was not sold . What a nostalgic piece of literature .

"SHINE , SUN , AND I WILL KILL YOU A GOAT"

RAMADHAN IS ALREADY HALF-WAY

Ramadhan is a very important part of every Muslim’s life. Ramadhan is the month of giving and mercy, and during this month Allah blesses the believers with forgiveness and great reward.
This is a time to stop and contemplate, to look inwards and out, it is a time to set our goals. We should ask ourselves what we want to achieve this month, - something we will carry into our futures..

PLAY WITH WORDS

See If You Can figure the common form of these words :
Banana
Dresser
Grammar
Potato
Revive
Uneven
Voodoo

Answer:

In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.

Did you figure it out?

NEO-ECONOMIC POLICY

JUST THINK ABOUT THIS CONCEPT

Saving is sin, and spending is virtue...
Interesting article written by an Indian Economist

Japanese save a lot. They do not spend much. Also Japan exports far more than it imports. Has an annual trade surplus of over 100 billions. Yet Japanese economy is considered weak, even collapsing. Americans spend, save little. Also US imports more than it exports. Has an annual trade deficit of over $400 billion. Yet, the American economy is considered strong and trusted to get stronger. But where from do Americans get money to spend?

They borrow from Japan , China and even India . Virtually others save for the US to spend. Global savings are mostly invested in US, in dollars. India itself keeps its foreign currency assets of over $50 billions in US securities. China has sunk over $160 billion in US securities. Japan 's stakes in US securities is in trillions. Result:The US has taken over $5 trillion from the world. So, as the world saves for the US , Americans spend freely. Today, to keep the US consumption going, that is for the US economy to work, other countries have to remit $180 billion every quarter, which is $2 billion a day, to the US ! A Chinese economist asked a neat question. Who has invested more, US in China , or China in US? The US has invested in China less than half of what China has invested in US.The same is the case with India . We have invested in US over $50 billion. But the US has invested less than $20 billion in India . Why the world is after US?The secret lies in the American spending, that they hardly save. In fact they use their credit cards to spend their future income. That the US spends is what makes it attractive to export to the US . So US imports more than what it exports year after year. The result:The world is dependent on US consumption for its growth. By its deepening culture of consumption, the US has habituated the world to feed on US consumption. But as the US needs money to finance its consumption, the world provides the money. It's like a shopkeeper providing the money to a customer so that the customer keeps buying from the shop. If the customer will not buy, the shop won't have business, unless the shopkeeper funds him. The US is like the lucky customer. And the world is like the helpless shopkeeper financier. Who is America 's biggest shopkeeper financier? Japan of course. Yet it's Japan which is regarded as weak. Modern economists complain that Japanese do not spend, so they do not grow. To force the Japanese to spend, the Japanese government exerted itself, reduced the savings rates, even charged the savers.
Even then the Japanese did not spend (habits don't change, even with taxes, do they?). Their traditional postal savings alone is over $1.2 trillions, about three times the Indian GDP. Thus, savings, far from being the strength of Japan , has become its pain. Hence, what is the lesson? That is, a nation cannot grow unless the people spend, not save. Not just spend, but borrow and spend.

Dr. Jagdish Bhagwati, the famous Indian-born economist in the US , told Manmohan Singh that Indians wastefully save. Ask them to spend, on imported cars and, seriously, even on cosmetics! This will put India on a growth curve. This is one of the reason for MNC's coming down to India , seeing the consumer spending.

"Saving is sin, and spending is virtue."But before you follow this neo economics, get some fools to save so that you can borrow from them and spend!!!

THINKING ABOUT SAVING ? THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SAVE . THINK THRICE BEFORE YOU SPEND . DON'T THINK . IT WILL MAKE YOU MAD .

LONG , LONG TIME AGO

Sekarang baru aku sedar bahawa aku ni cerdik. Kalau tidak masa kan aku terpilih.
Bila melangkah kaki ke sekolah inggeris, sepatah perkataan inggeris pun aku tak tau. I knew nothing .Nak berak di jamban pun aku tak tau .Ada flush-water system pula. Mula aku takut bila ditarik tali ,air akan mencurah turun. Seminggu aku tak berak.Busuknya kentut habis cerita.Tapi sapa yang tau aku yang kentut.Aku cerdik , aku pandai kawal diri. Kekawan yang lain pula yang kena ejek. Menangis budak tu . Aku jadi idola mereka . Sekejap saja aku jadi terkenal . Mawi kena bertarung hampir 3 bulan baru terkenal , tapi aku belom pun sebulan di hostel dah terkenal . Semua panggil aku Pak Hitam . Cikgu pun panggil aku Pak Hitam. Sampailah aku keluar sekolah selepas mengambil peperiksaan senior cambridge , aku dikenali sebagai Pak Hitam. Hingga hari ni kekawan lama dulu memanggil ku begitu .
Akhir2 ini bila usia meningkat tua depa panggil aku Pak Cha pula . Aku tak kisah , kalau panggil Pak Hitam pun tak mengapa , sebab hitam itu manis . Macam kopi-kaw .
Aku terima waren tiket keretapi tanah melayu kelas dua. Emak aku tak restu kerana masa tu banyak komunis . Dia takut aku kena tembak komunis . Aku ikut kata ibu .
Nanti aku sambung , insyaallah .

CLASSIC OR NEW-----------STILL MUCH LOVED

My beetle is 1200cc ..........masih cinta padanya

Beetle enthusiasts the world overmust have rejoiced when they heard the news that the new generation of the familiar cars would be produced. The car which ended production decades earlier was still popular and there were many who still maintained their old Beetles in pristine condition.
When the new Beetle came out, the familiar shape was unmistakably there and minds began wondering to younger days when they got a hold of their first Beetle.
The Beetle is, by far, the car most closely associated with Volkswagen.
The shape of it is recognisable the world over, but this is not the only characteristic with which people in every corner of the worldassociate the car.
Beginning in the late 1940s, theunmistakable sound of the engine of the Beetle - the buzzes and putters - can be picked out from the transient sounds of traffic racing through the streets.
The Beetle is perhaps Germany’s greatest ambassador to the world.
Although production began in December 1945 with only 55 units, by October 1946, the 10,000th Beetle had rolled off the lines and by the following year, the first exports were sentto the Netherlands.
For decades, it was the most popularoverseas model in the United States and it had reached the South Pacific Island of Nauru by 1967, where the advertising campaign cheekilyproclaimed that VW sales had increased by 200 per cent - from one to three Beetles!
So it was that the inhabitants of that tiny little island in the Pacific learnt the familiar sight, sound and, yes, smell of the Beetle.
Those who know the car will tell you to inhale a whiff of a hot machine mixed with the smell of warmed-up carpeting was just the ticket for them, much like what a fragrant perfume would do for others.
Driving the Beetle - with its smooth steering and gearing - was a thing of luxury in those days before power steering and automatic transmissions became an everyday norm.
The old Beetle’s air-cooled engine was a constant throughout its life. But, other parts of the vehicle moved from strength to strength.
The first Beetle with a folding top was introduced in 1950, along with the first hydraulic foot brake.
Two years later, the car came with hinged swivel windows in the doors, 15-inch rims, and more importantly, a synchronised transmission.

As the years - decades actually - roll by, the Beetle improves with each new model.
Engine powers climb ever higher, front disc brakes are added, as are front spring struts and double-jointed rear axles.
Then, in 1998, came the new Beetle. A hit around the world, the cult status ofthe Beetle was given even more life when a new model came out last year.
With its sharper contours and an optimised TDI engine, new lights and a fresh colour palette, not to mention new fabric seat covers, the results were a successful facelift that kept the recognisable shape of the Beetle but with extra-added features.

MAI NAIK KERETA KU.........ehe beetle la

Beetle ku 1200cc......just love it

Karakter tersendiri VolkswagenKereta klasik popular hadir dalam teknologi baru tapi masih kekalkan reka bentuk asal
Era 60-an dan 70-an lalu, kalau sebut saja kerete Volkswagen, pastinya merujuk kepada Beetle.

WHENEVER THERE IS PROBLEM........

Memang tak boleh lari dari masaalah. Masaalah mematangkan kita . Pusing kiri ,pusing kanan berpuluh kali , mata tetap tak lelap . Semalaman aku seperti kucing nak beranak . Tapi bukan lahir di tahun kucing .Aku lahir tahun kambing. Tapi aku suka main hujan . Masa tua ni pun aku memang gemar main hujan. Pantang hujan turun, aku akan turun padang .
Pagi2 lagi aku hari ni ke pekan selasa . Pantang jumpa kenalan aku akan bersembang . Macam2 tajuk ikut macam2 orang yang ku jumpa . Orang paling akhir aku jumpa ialah kawan sesama sekolah dulu. Cikgu Ramli. Panjang lebar bercakap tajuk pasai sekolah lama .

HIGH TIME TO EAT PETAI

Hello friends , please read this article :

ADVICE FROM UKM MEDICAL DOCTOR

Little did you know ...... after reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at petai in the same way again!

Petai contains three natural sugars -sucrose, fructose and glucose. Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS(premenstrual syndrome):
Forget the pills - eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anaemia:
High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anaemia.

Blood Pressure:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power :
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation:
High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn:
Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness :
Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites :
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves:
Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight:
Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers:
Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control :
Many other cultures see petai as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In hoiland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) :
Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.

Smoking:
Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

Stress:
Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.

Strokes:
According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine, " eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%".

Warts:
Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A Petai a day keeps the doctor away".

LIFE AFTER DEATH :...........just to ponder

A Malaysian dies and goes to hell. There he finds that there is a different hell for each country. He goes first to the German hell and asks, "What do they do here?" He is told, "First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails foranother hour. Then the German devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day."The man does not like the sound of that at all, so he moves on.

He checks out the USA hell as well as the Russian hell and many more. He discovers that they are all more or less the same as the German hell.

Then he comes to the Malaysian hell and finds that there is a very long line of people waiting to get in. Amazed he asks, "What do they do here?"He is told, "First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Malaysian devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day." "But that is exactly the same as all the other hells - why are there so many people waiting to get in?""Because maintenance is so bad that the electric chair does not work. Then someone has stolen all the nails from the bed, and the devil is a formerGovernment servant, so he comes in, signs the register and then goes to the canteen.

PENTINGNYA MEMILIKI ILMU....lebih2 lagi ilmu agama

(HR. Ibnu Abi Ashim, Thabrani, Al-Bazzar dan Abu Nu'aim, hadits hasan). (Abu Hamzah As-Sanuwi).

ALL PROPHESIED TILL HEREAFTER

The Verses in the Quran That Mention Future Events Which Later Came to Pass

One example of the events foretold in the Quran is the victory of the Romans over the Persians within three to nine years after the Romans were defeated by the Persians. God has said in the Quran:
The Romans have been defeated in the nearest land (to the Arabian Peninsula), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious within bedd’ (three to nine) years.... (Quran, 30:2-4)
Let us see what history tells us about these wars. A book entitled History of the Byzantine State says that the Roman army was badly defeated at Antioch in 613, and as a result, the Persians swiftly pushed forward on all fronts.1 At that time, it was hard to imagine that the Romans would defeat the Persians, but the Quran foretold that the Romans would be victorious within three to nine years. In 622, nine years after the Romans’ defeat, the two forces (Romans and Persians) met on Armenian soil, and the result was the decisive victory of the Romans over the Persians, for the first time after the Romans’ defeat in 613.2 The prophecy was fulfilled just as God has said in the Quran.
There are also many other verses in the Quran

WHAT IS THE AL-QURAN ABOUT ?...........for those who needs to know

What Is the Quran About?
The Quran, the last revealed word of God, is the primary source of every Muslim’s faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects which concern human beings: wisdom, doctrine, worship, transactions, law, etc., but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures. At the same time, it provides guidelines and detailed teachings for a just society, proper human conduct, and an equitable economic system.
Note that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad in Arabic only. So, any Quranic translation, either in English or any other language, is neither a Quran, nor a version of the Quran, but rather it is only a translation of the meaning of the Quran. The Quran exists only in the Arabic in which it was revealed.

MY ALMA-MATER.........Ibrahim School

ANOTHER BULLSHIT STORY

JUST ANOTHER STORY TO PONDER
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the
bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was
lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the
frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize
how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there
all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat
heard the bird singing and came to investigate Following the sound,
the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly
dug him out and ate him.
Lesson: Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy. Not
everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend. And when you are in deep shit
it's best to keep your mouth shut .
The best novel I have read : SHIT by Dato' Professor Shahnon Ahmad.

SOMETHING ABOUT BULLSHIT

I would like share this story I got from standupphilosopher blog.

A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get
to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the
energy." Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?"
replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients. "The turkey pecked
at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to
reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some
more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth
night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was
promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.
LESSON :Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you up there.

APA KITA NAK TENGOK GENERASI KITA...................????

MINDA KRITIS

Pendita pernah berkata : BERTINDAK TANPA BERPIKIR BERERTI MEMANGGIL MALAPETAKA .

Sudikah kita menyulitkan generasi kita ?.

BERNAMABerita berkaitan:MINDA MUFTI: Adab-Adab berbuka puasa menurut Sunnah

HARI BAIK,BULAN MULIA

Pagi tadi tepat jam 5 pagi telefon berdering . Rupanya anakku dari Bangi , memberi ingatan supaya kami bangun bersahor . Hari pertama menyambut ramadhan . Terimakasih nak ,ayah menghargai budi mulia mu . Seperti yang aku dok kata , bulan ni cukup mulia , a month of opportunity , full of bonuses . Baik untuk rohani dan jasmani . Ilmu perubatan mengsahehkannya . Malah sebelum melakukan sebarang pembedahan para doktor menyuroh pasiennya berpuasa . Di larang makan sekurang2nya 6 jam . We need no proof , we already belief what Allah summons us . Listen and obey.
Senang menghitung umur tapi susah nak tahu berapakah bakinya..........but the day will come .
Wassalam,selamat menunaikan ibadat puasa.

PERISTIWA DI BATU BURUK siapa buruknya?

Jangan buat cara sembarono . Jangan buat ikut dan saja . Kita tamaddun , kita hadhari , kita bestari . Tapi masih di takok lama . Kita tak maju, kita tak berubah, kita masih melalui jalan-jalan buntu , yang belum tentu di mana hala-tujunya . Kita tersesat arah .
WE ARE A CLOWN NO MORE.
Too much rubbish in this small, small world.

APA PERLUNYA MEMANUSIAKAN BINATANG.......& lainnya

Mereka semua pandai mentadbirkan diri , cukup sempurna hidup mereka . Lebih pintar mereka menjalani proses hidup ini.
Kalau dibandingkan dengan manusia cukup haru-biru , cukup goblok . Kukkik sana, kukkik sini.Tak habeh2 berkukkik2. Apa hebatnya manusia ? Bercelaru dan dah jadi tak bersenonoh . Buat kerja bagai bukan lagi manusia . Dah melintasi jauh dari sifat kemanusiaan . Binatang bebas bertelanjang , dan manusia pun suka sangat bertelanjang . Lebih2 lagi manusia betina . Suka sangat nak dedah bahagian2 sulit . Nak dedah buah tetek, nak dedah pungkur yang depa juga setiap hari mengeluarkan taik. Apom pun depa sanggup dedah . Masyaallah . Selalunya aku delete terus . Pagi tadi entah bagaimana aku buka emel itu . Tengok tajuknya pun elok . Bolehlah tumpang menambah iman . Tapi benda tu yang keluar . Nasib baik tak dak orang di sisi . Kalau tidak malu besar . Nanti depa kata orang tua gatai pula . Haru, haru sungguh . Kita pun tau komputer ni bukan elok semuanya . Terpulang kat kita mengendalikannya . Banyak membinatangkan manusia .
Sempana esok kita akan sambut puasa ramadhan, bulan yang cukup banyak bonusnya ,it is a month of opportunity , marilah kita memanusiakan kemanusiaan sesungguhnya dalam diri kita .
Wallahuaklam.
selamat menyambut RAMADHAN AL-MUBARAK

How To Avoid Some Common Problems Encountered In Ramadan
This article provides useful advice on how to avoid some common problems encountered in Ramadan. If followed, it would enable one to fast comfortably and enjoy fully the spiritual benefits of Ramadan.
During the holy month of Ramadan, our diet should not differ very much from our normal diet and should be as simple as possible. The diet should be such that we maintain our normal weight, neither losing nor gaining. However, if one is over-weight, Ramadan is an ideal time to normalize one's weight.
In view of the long hours of fasting, we should consume slow digesting food including fibre containing-food rather than fast-digesting food. Slow digesting food last up to 8 hours, while fast-digesting food last for only 3 to 4 hours.
Slow-digesting food are food that contain grains and seeds like barley, wheat, oats, millet, semolina, beans, lentils, wholemeal flour, unpolished rice, etc. (called complex carbohydrates) .
Fast-burning food are food that contain sugar, white flour, etc. (called refined carbohydrates) .
Fibre-containing food are bran-containing food, whole wheat, grains and seeds, vegetables like green beans, peas, sem (papry), marrow, mealies, spinach, and other herbs like methie, the leaves of beetroot (iron-rich), fruit with skin, dried fruit especially dried apricots, figs and prunes, almonds, etc.
The food eaten should be well balanced, containing food from each food group, i.e. fruit, vegetables, meat/chicken/ fish, bread/cereals and dairy products. Fried food are unhealthy and should be limited. They cause indigestion, heartburn, and weight problems.
AVOID
Fried and fatty food
Foods containing too much sugar.
Over-eating especially during the meal before Dawn (sehri. or suhur)
Too much tea during the meal before Dawn (sehri. or suhur). Tea makes you pass more urine taking with it valuable mineral salts that your body would need during the day.
Smoking cigarettes. If you cannot give up smoking, cut down gradually starting a few weeks before Ramadan. Smoking is unhealthy and one should stop completely.
EAT
Complex carbohydrates during the meal before Dawn (sehri. or suhur) so that the food lasts longer making you less hungry.
Haleem is an excellent source of protein and is a slow-burning food.
Dates are excellent source of sugar, fibre, carbohydrates, potassium and magnesium.
Almonds are rich in protein and fibre with less fat.
Bananas are a good source of potassium, magnesium and carbohydrates.
DRINK
As much water or fruit juices as possible between iftar (Breaking fasting) and bedtime so that your body may adjust fluid levels in time.
Common Medical Problems:
CONSTIPATION
Constipation can cause piles (haemorroids) , fissures (painful cracks in anal canal) and indigestion with a bloated feeling.
Causes: Too much refined foods, too little water and not enough fibre in the diet.
Remedy: Avoid excessive refined food, increase water intake, use bran in baking, brown flour when making roti.
INDIGESTION AND WIND
Causes: Over-eating. Too much fried and fatty food, spicy foods, and food that produce wind e.g. eggs, cabbage, lentils, carbonated drinks like Cola also produce gas.
Remedy: Do not over-eat; drink fruit juices or better still drink water. Avoid fried food.
LETHARGY ('low blood pressure')
Excessive sweating, weakness, tiredness, lack of energy, dizziness, especially on getting up from sitting position, pale appearance and feeling faint are symptoms associated with "low blood pressure". This tends to occur towards the afternoon.
Causes: Too little fluid intake, decreased salt intake.
Remedy: Keep cool, increase fluid and salt intake.
Caution: Low blood pressure should be confirmed by taking a blood pressure reading when symptoms are present. Persons with high blood pressure may need their medication adjusted during Ramadan. They should consult their doctor.
HEADACHE
Causes: Caffeine and tobacco-withdrawal, doing too much in one day, lack of sleep, hunger, usually occur as the day goes by and worsens at the end of the day. When associated with "low blood pressure", the headache can be quite severe and can also cause nausea before Iftar (Breaking Fasting).
Remedy: Cut down caffeine and tobacco slowly starting a week or two before Ramadan. Herbal and caffeine-free teas may be substituted. Reorganize your schedule during the Ramadan so as to have adequate sleep.
LOW BLOOD SUGAR
Weakness, dizziness, tiredness, poor concentration, perspiring easily, feeling shaky (tremor), unable to perform physical activities, headache, palpitations are symptoms of low blood sugar.
Causes in non-diabetics: Having too much sugar i.e. refined carbohydrates especially during the meal before Dawn (sehri or suhur). The body produces too much insulin causing the blood glucose to drop.
Remedy: Eat something at suhur (sehri) and limit sugar-containing food and drinks.
Caution: Diabetics may need to adjust their medication in Ramadan, consult your doctor.
MUSCLE CRAMPS
Causes: Inadequate intake of calcium, magnesium and potassium foods.
Remedy: Eat food rich in the above minerals e.g. vegetables, fruit, dairy products, meat and dates.
Caution: Those on high blood pressure medication and with kidney stone problems should consult their doctor.
PEPTIC ULCERS, HEART BURN, GASTRITIS AND HIATUS HERNIA
Increased acid levels in the empty stomach in Ramadan aggravate the above conditions. It presents as a burning feeling in the stomach area under the ribs and can extend up to the throat. Spicy food, coffee, and Cola drinks worsen these conditions.
Medications are available to control acid levels in the stomach. People with proven peptic ulcers and hiatus hernia should consult their doctor well before Ramadan.
KIDNEY STONES
Kidney stones may occur in people who have less liquids to drink.
Therefore, it is essential to drink extra liquids so as to prevent stone formation.
JOINT PAINS
Causes: The increased pressure on the knee joints during Salat. In the elderly and those with arthritis this may result in pain, stiffness, swelling and discomfort.
Remedy: Lose weight so that the knees do not have to carry any extra load. Exercise the lower limbs. Being physically fit allows greater fulfillment, thus enabling one to be able to perform Salat with ease.

USTAZ HAJI NOH....semoga ditempatkan bersama al-solihin

Susah aku nak menolak permintaannya . Kerana dia seorang alim aku kena akur dengan hajatnya . Aku suka memenuhi kehendak orang alim. Syukran ustaz .
Insyaalah akan ku turut berdoa untukmu .
ORANG2 BAIK KENA MATI , TAPI NAMA2 MEREKA TETAP HIDUP HARI DEMI HARI.
ORANG2 HAPRAK PUN MATI , TAPI MEREKA DIKEJI SETIAP HARI.

COME SEPT/11.....NURI.......BABI

Bukan senang nak latih pegawai kapalterbang . Kena cari yang pintar2 pula tu . Habis yang cerdik2 terkorban . Sikit punya rugi . Modal insan terbunuh begitu saja . Kata nak bina modal insan .

Dear Mat Isa,

I often receive many interesting articles from you especially about Kirkbyites some of whom are your teachers. I would like to congratulate you for being interested in us Kirkbyites.

I wonder whether I have e-mail you our latest Newsletter. You know being over 75 years old one tends to forget easily. Anyway I attach herewith our Newsletter. Hope you enjoy reading.

WHAT MADE PAK NON BE MY FRIEND ?

Below is Pak Non's first Email to me ( that made us good friends)

Saudara Mat Isa,
Assalamualaikum,

Let me introduce myself. My name Zainal Abidin Mohamed. Address Alor Star Kedah.Like other friends or Kirkbyite we saw yr mail and the mails of the members who gave support to yr request. It is not often that students comeout openly to appreciate their teachers as you have done.

I am an ex teacher having been in the field from 1959 till 1983 as a teacher, headmaster and examination secretary etc. From 1983 till 1993 I was at UUM as registrar. I know and befriended those teachers you mentioned. They were either colleagues or friends at other institutions in Kedah or outside. David Raman, J. Singh,Syed Abu Bakar, HashimYunus, Abu Hassan Ali,John Augustine all taught in Kedah . David was at Batu Pekaka when I was HM at SMBaling. J.Singh was at SAHC, Syed Abu Bakar was at SMSAHalim, Hashim Yunus was at SKBaling and later at Family Planning.I believe J.Singh, Hashim have died. Che Gu Baharuddin has passed his 75th birthday and still in KL. Pak Abu must be in KL His sons are the famous composers. One appeared in the Academy Fantasia recently. Mat Noor has retired after being in the sporting arena and at STTC John Augustine I think have retired from UM..

Actually most of us have reached the 70+ years after being in the education sector for sometimes. Many got into universities after 1960 or earlier and upon graduation moved into other sectors as well. Thus is the case with Pak Rahim Yusof, Md Noor, HashimYunus. Many got into the law profession, Some even became judges. Others became lecturers and that's where I guess you met many of them.

Are you still teaching at Sik? I will be too happy to help you should you require farther info re Kirkby.Salam sejahtera to you Sdr Mat Isa. I don't know if we have met but yr name is quite familiar to me.

MY LETTER TO KIRKBYITES.....alumni Malayan Teachers College,Kirkby,Liverpool,England.

To: MTTC_kirkby@yahoogroups.com ( To all Kirkbyites)

10th July,2007
Dear Sirs / Madams ,
In my previous post I wrote about how Syed Abu Bakar opened Sik English School and Sik Continuation Secondary School ( now Sekolah Menengah Keb.Sik ) from nothing .Did jobs from the headmaster down to the sweeper-cum- canteen man , distributing clean drinking water free-of-charge. ......far better than Harry Poiter in the film To Sir With Love ( according to my judgement .......if I am wrong please correct , cause I am still a student of you kirkbyites).
I would have not become teacher if I didn't come in contect with Pak Tuan ( the title I always call him ) . So from now on I will address as Pak Tuan and not Syed Abu Bakar . It was he who motivated me . All the teachers under him were all became very commited to the job . Many did not ask for tranfer . They felt safe and enjoyable working with Pak Tuan . Pak Tuan believed in friendship and harmony . Very often Pak Tuan will utter " I am your headmaster , but after school I am no more , make me your friend ".
As I said , if not because of Pak Tuan , I wouldn't be a teacher .I was interested joining the army .Those days jobs were easy .I got called up for interview as a cadet-officer in the Military College with a second-class railway warrant ticket given free. At the same time my mother also disagreed me joining the army . She knew the difficulties she underwent during the Japanese occupation and the cruelty of the communists then . I went to see Pak Tuan . He made a simple and fast conclusion . OBEY YOUR MOTHER . OPERASI TEMBAK BABI

Melaka terkenal dari dulu hingga sekarang . Sekarang terserlah kerana ternakan babi . Dah jadi kaya raya . Dan operasi tembak babi gagal lagi : mereka dihalang memasuki kawasan mereka walaupun disertai oleh anggota polis . Kepala ku jadi pening memikirkan peristiwa itu . Di manakah terletaknya kekuasaan negara ? Aku jadi bingong tak semena2 . Otak ku jadi buntu sebuntunya .
Di kampung ku juga terdapat banyak babi.Semuanya babi liar .Di waktu malam masuk kampung merayau2 . Bau busuk tu dah termaklumlah . Aku terpaksa pagarkan kampung ku dengan zinc . Itupun dia boleh masuk . Pagar chain-link juga mudah dirempoh . Habis tanaman rosak . Penanaman semula getah juga gagal . Kita tanam dia cabut . Yang tumbuh dah besar di kepaknya pula . Bubuh racun .Kalau mampuih kena tambah kerja kebumikannya pula .
Tembaklah, tembaklah ,biar bergegar keseluruhan Bukit Srengenge . MERDEKA.
MASAALAH BABI PUN BELUM SELESAI , BAGAIMANA PULA MASALAH YANG TAK 'BERBABI' ?

..........MAKAN JADI TAHI

Oleh Wiji Thukul
"Puisi Kemerdekaan" Agustus 1982

apabila engkau memaksa diam
aku siapkan untukmu: pemberontakan!
-Wiji Thukul-

Lalu apa buktinya? Pasca AUKU, cemerlangkah?

sebelum malam mengucap selamat malam
sebelum tidur mengucapkan selamat datang
aku mengucap kepada hidup yang jelata
m e r d e k a !
-Wiji Thukul-

SELAMAT MENYAMBUT RAMADHAN AL-MUBARAK

DILIPAT BIAR SEBESAR KUKU ;
DIHAMPAR BIAR SELUAS ALAM .............kata2 cendikiawan

MEMAHAMI MARAQABAH

Maka dijawabnya: "Aku daripada anak-cucu Asma’i."
Lalu badwi bertanya, "Dari mana kamu datang?"

KENCING MANIS ?.....jom kongsi pengalaman

Diabetic No More!by Marylyn SzakacsLiving Nutrition Vol. 5

Jom baca dan kongsi pengalaman.

As I write this story, it has been four short months since my rebirth, that day in March, 1998 when I attended a lecture given by Roe Gallo and began pursuing a healthier lifestyle. I was very skeptical as I listened to ideas that seemed, at first, to be bizarre and foreign. However, Roe presented herself as knowledgeable about the physiology of the human body and was a shining example of her own philosophy. As I listened, the ideas began to sound so logical, so natural: eat only uncooked organic fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. I was already semi-vegetarian so it wasn't a big leap to go all the way. Two of my friends, Suzie Milkowich and Marie Ruxton added testimony about their experiences with the raw food diet and I realized that this might be the answer to my prayers.
At age 52 I made a life-altering decision to follow Roe's plan. I felt that I had nothing to lose; except possibly some unwanted weight (I weighed 183 pounds) the toxins stored in my body and, hopefully, my diabetes! I'd been searching for an answer to my diabetes since I was diagnosed as borderline diabetic approximately seven years before. At first I used diet to try to control blood sugar levels, with limited success. Doctors prescribed a variety of oral medications but sugar levels fluctuated. In 1996, after major kidney surgery with almost fatal complications, my blood sugar levels rose and I was told that I would have to inject myself with insulin. At first I was in denial and then I was devastated when I realized I was losing control of my body. I was told this disease was incurable; it was degenerative; it was forever and repercussions were ugly at the end!
Being a very positive person, I did not accept the experts' answers but instead started my own quest for a more constructive solution. I subscribed to alternative medicine publications, joined a vitamin co-op, shopped at health food stores and spent much time and money to find something that worked. Although there was some improvement, my diabetic condition was still there At one point I was spending almost $200 each month on vitamins and supplements to make me healthy! I knew that I could not go on this way. The information was overwhelming and sometimes conflicting and very confusing.
I decided to seek my answers through a wholistic osteopathic doctor, hoping he could clarify the tangled web of information. He suggested that I try a macrobiotic diet. I consulted his dietitician and bought all the required food from his office store. I was willing to try anything to get healthy again, even eating whole oats (unprocessed, like a horse eats), whole barley, whole rye, whole buckwheat, seaweed, whole brown rice, whole millet, miso, organic whole legumes, and a variety of supplements. After six months of this costly and time-consuming regimen, my fasting blood sugar was 248, higher than it had been previously. Imagine how discouraged I felt that day in the doctor's office as I tried to digest this news which was the exact opposite of what I expected to hear. On the way home, I thought about what I was doing wrong, and blamed myself for the negative results, beating myself up over my efforts. What should I do now?
Enter Roe Gallo! Call it what you want - divine providence, coincidence, luck - the timing was right. On the spur of the moment I decided to attend Roe's lecture that I heard about through Suzie. I spoke to Roe after the talk and she assured me that the fruit would not increase my blood sugar levels. I did not feel ready for fasting, but started slowly with orange juice, other fruits and raw vegetables. The first oranges I bought weren't organically grown, but using an antique hand juicer I was on my way. Suzie and Marie, helped me and supported me by listening any time of the day or night, offering their encouragement and sharing their knowledge. They helped me get organic produce. They were there when the tingling and pain in my fingers and arms was so intense that I couldn't sleep. They were there when I had my doubts about what I was doing. They were there when friends and family thought I was crazy. They were there throughout every crisis.
After one month of juicing and raw foods, I tested my blood sugar level. I was very scared, but when I looked, the numbers on the monitor said 141 - that's over 100 points lower than it had been the previous month! Needless to say, I was elated. And so far it's been holding steady, except for one or two setbacks when I ate foods that I wasn't supposed to eat. But I'm human and I do mess up sometimes. Now I know that if I stray from the path, I'll pay the consequences. I feel 99% better when I follow Roe's natural plan. I also look much better since I've shed approximately 40 pounds. I'm still detoxing; getting rid of years of poisons that have clogged my system. At this point I can see the end of the tunnel. I will be free of the sludge that keeps me from having a "perfect body". inside and out. And best of all, I am diabetic no more!

GARAM MERBAHAYA.....salt warning

Cuba baca dan faham betul2 tentang pemakanan kita . Terlalu banyak garam . Aku malas nak menterjemahkannya . Anyway in our food is too much garam and gula .
Cuba kurangkan kedua2nya .
Avoid all salt – it’s a toxic, irritating, corrosive, stimulating, enervating and potentially deadly poison. Yes, even Celtic and Himalayan salts are destructive to your body and health – don’t be fooled by marketing hype! These inorganic substances may be trendy but they are not healthful. In addition to sodium chloride, they contain numerous toxic elements including heavy metals, such as aluminum, cadmium, lead and mercury. These wreak havoc in the body, and are very difficult to eliminate.
If you live in a northern region or near the ocean you have probably seen how rock salt and salt spray eats steel members and chrome coatings on automobiles. If you’ve ever had an open flesh wound and exposed it to salt, your senses will have told you how destructive it is. Salt paralyzes the intestinal villi and kills cells – would you knowingly bathe your delicate villi, your arteries, veins and capillaries with such a corrosive solution? Salt brine kills insects and “pickles” vegetables. Do you want to run a solution of that through your brain 24 hours a day? An ounce of salt, taken all at once, spells suicide.
You cannot become healthy if your sense of taste is befuddled by unnatural flavorings. Salt does not bring out the flavor of food; it overpowers your taste buds, deadening them to all sensation other than additional salt, causing unnatural cravings, overeating and beverage guzzling.
Salt bonds with water, and its toxicity necessitates extra fluid intake. The body’s dilution response causes the cells to become dehydrated, severely impairing health. Salt also throws off the blood’s electrolyte balance (e.g., the sodium to potassium ratio) and acidifies the body, eroding health and impeding healing. Most illness cannot be overcome when salt is part of the diet. The few salt eaters I’ve counseled did not heal their disease conditions until they followed my recommendation of giving up salt--even though their diets were otherwise nearly perfect.
Hypertension (high blood pressure), edema, cardiovascular disease, stroke, atherosclerosis, asthma, arthritis, rheumatism, Alzheimer’s disease, lupus, premenstrual syndrome, gout, cancer and a host of other disease conditions are linked to salt. Can the body handle a little bit of salt? Maybe, but not on a regular basis. Why risk ruining your precious health?
We do need mineral salts–no doubt about it. From where should we get our mineral salts? Plant foods is the natural answer. The liquids from fruits and vegetables contain all of the mineral salts we need, in safe, organic, usable form. For rich, satisfying flavors, obtain produce grown in soil generously mineralized with a rock powder amendment. If possible, grow your own produce, adding such mineral sources as rock powder, azamite, or kelp powder to your compost and soil.
Abstain from salt, clean out, eat whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic tender vegetables plus savory and sweet fruits. Your salt cravings will vanish and unseasoned foods will taste outrageously delicious.

KITA KENA TAU.....human must know

Humanity needs to know that:
* We are biological (not technological or medical) creatures; natural is the way.
* Our biological/physiological dietetic constitution is frugivore.
* Alive raw fruits, succulent plants, seeds and nuts are the foods which constitute our natural, most delicious and most healthful diet; "live foods for live people" is the watchword.
* Cooking food is an act of destruction, creating toxins; cooked meat and grains are carcinogenic.
* Every nutrient we need is available in fruit and plant foods; there is no need to kill and eat dead animals.
* A meal of an apple is immeasurably nutritionally superior to any cooked food meal. Simple eating is not boring--it is deliciously liberating and reverses aging!
* Our bodies know how to self heal disease--we merely have to step out of the way, live on simple raw juices, and/or fruits and vegetables, or on water, get rest and sleep and the body will detoxify and heal.
* Germs do not cause illness--they are all beneficial, working symbiotically with the body to help digest plant foods, synthesize some vitamins and clean up wastes.
* We cannot become healthy if we attempt to drug and continue to pollute our bodies with medicines and dead deranged "foods."
* Every drug or medicine is poison and has no healing power.
* There are no quick fixes or short cuts to health--only the body itself can regenerate a healthier body, and it needs a clean diet and supportive conditions to do that.
* Relying on outside modalities for healing disempowers us; relying on Providence for self healing is the way to actualize perfect health and maximum longevity.
* There are no mysteries behind why we get sick--the information describing the cause of and way to overcome every illness, and the proper professional help, is here and available to everyone.
* Disease is not inevitable or out of our control--we only become diseased if we poison and enervate our bodies and minds.
* No one need fear "getting sick". "Getting sick" is nature's way of detoxifying and telling us that we need to correct our thinking and live more healthfully.
* Perfect health and joyous living are our birthright, and we can all move toward their realization every day, on the glorious healthful living path.
I thank you for reading this and for anything you can do to spread the message of healthful living. There is a universal spiritual law which says that to receive we must give. It follows that for every ounce of good will we put out toward our fellow Earth citizens, we will receive more enrichment in return. This is so true! It feels so good to give--to oneself by creating a healthier body, and to humanity by sharing this information. This raises our and Mother Earth's level of health and deepens our spiritual connection, becoming a joyous daily ritual or celebration. The fruits of this healing work are simply the fruits of life. I'd love to share with you and wish you beautiful health and endless abundance!
